Management and organisational structure
The Public Law Project is a registered charity and a limited company, and is divided into casework, research, policy and training & events departments. The organisation’s strategic direction is decided by the Management Committee, which currently comprises Nony Ardill (Legal Policy Adviser, Age Concern), Janice Edgar (Senior Manager, Forensic Accounting, KPMG), John Halford (Partner, Bindman & Partners), Professor Andrew Le Sueur (Professor of Public Law, Queen Mary, University of London), Richard Stein (Partner, Leigh Day & Co), Professor Maurice Sunkin (Dean of School of Law, University of Essex), and Stephen Cragg (Barrister, Doughty Street Chambers) (Chair). The Management Committee, which meets every 8 weeks, is also responsible for ensuring that PLP properly discharges its role as a charity and as a company under the Company Acts. The day-to-day running of PLP is overseen by the Director, Conrad Haley.
