25 Years of the PLP
The Public Law Project was established in 1990. As part of our 25th Anniversay celebrations we commissioned a short film to be screend at our annual fundraising dinnner at the Underglobe in March 2015. If you want to find out more about what we do, who we work with and our history, this is a good place to start. We are extremely grateful to the filmakers, Corey Samuel and Kieran Allan.
If you feel inspired by the film you can make a donation to PLP.
Lord Irvine of Lairg (former Lord Chancellor)
Judicial review is indispensable in a democracy … It ensures that public bodies act according to law. They cannot be above the law. Ministers, who are politicians, often will be frustrated if their decisions are challenged or quashed, but that is an intrinsic aspect of government subject to the rule of law, as is the need for Ministers to be aware of their duty to comply with the law.
